Drink 2 Litres of Water

Easy tips to help you consume more water & its benefits #SimonSaysChallenge

This week as part of the #SimonSaysChallenge, we’re asking you to drink 2 litres of water each day.

Sometimes drinking water can feel like a bit of a chore and despite how important it is to stay hydrated, it is often easier to choose a cup of coffee or a sugary drink instead. There are so many simple ways to increase your water intake and help keep you hydrated.

Not only is water essential for lubricating the joints, it also boosts skin health, regulates body temperature, flushes out body waste and helps maintain blood pressure. Water also helps to boost performance during exercise making it useful in the completion of your other daily tasks in the #SimonSaysChallenge

Here are our top tips;

  • Add some flavour – Why not jazz up your water with some fresh fruit or a sprig of mint? The longer you let the fruit or mint steep the better the flavour!
  • Set a daily goal – this week we’re setting you a goal to drink 2L of water a day, so why not try and keep it up?
  • Use an app to track your intake – There are plenty of apps to help you keep track of how much water you’re consuming and to keep you accountable! Our favorites are Gulp and WaterMinder.
  • Refill your bottle as soon as it’s empty – This will make sure that you don’t put off refilling your bottle and it’s full when you’re ready to sip again!
  • Eat water rich foods – This is a simple way to really get you over the line. Foods like cucumber, watermelon and grapefruit all contain over 90% water!
