There’s only so much Netflix you can watch in a day so while we have to stay put, why not take this time to have a bit of fun and try something a bit different? To help get those creative juices flowing, we’ve listed some exercises and activities below that will brighten up your days while staying closer to home.
Here’s our suggestions:
Learn a new language – Learning a new language has never been easier thanks to our smartphones. Apps like Duolingo are easy to use and make the process simple and fun. Just think of how brilliant it’ll be when we can all travel again!
Sweat it out – The gyms may be closed but you can still enjoy a class from the comfort of your home. Now is the time to try your hand at a new style of exercise, maybe Zumba or dance aerobics? It could be your new favourite activity!
Get creative in the kitchen – With more time on our hands, get crafty in the kitchen and make a delicious meal that you can enjoy. We’ve plenty of recipes to choose from here if you’re stuck for inspiration!
Start a book club with your pals – Why not rediscover a passion for reading while staying in touch with your friends? It’ll act as a great conversation starter and help you stay connected with your nearest and dearest
Clear out your wardrobe – January is the perfect time to get rid of any unwanted or old clothing. While you’re at it, you might consider setting up a Depop shop or inquiring in your local charity shop to see if they’re accepting donations.
Take a virtual tour – While we can’t travel right now and experience new places and all they have to offer, virtual tours allow you to access some of the world’s most loved museums. Check out a list of virtual tours here!
